Alicia Phelps

Alicia Phelps is the Executive Director of the Northeast Tennessee Tourism Association, where her 16+ years of destination marketing leadership helped net the organization as Tennessee’s Small Destination Marketing Organization of the Year in 2019 and 2023. An Appalachian Regional Commission Leadership Fellow, Tri-Cities Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree, and founding East Tennessee State University Hospitality and Tourism Certification instructor, she bridges strategic regional growth with rural tourism development. She is an advocate for agriculture and farmland preservation, a short-term rental owner, and continues operations on her family’s third-generation farm. Outside the office, Alicia pours her energy into restoring classic and muscle cars, attending auto shows, uncovering family genealogy, and kayaking or hiking the trails of Northeast Tennessee.
