Charity Walker

Charity Walker is an accomplished workforce development professional with nearly a decade of experience advancing education, employment, and community initiatives. She is currently the Director of Apprenticeships at the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, where she oversees the Middle Tennessee Apprenticeship Network, an effort to expand and scale apprenticeship programs, strengthen the local talent pipeline, and increase economic mobility across Middle Tennessee.
Her career reflects a consistent commitment to problem-solving and collective impact. Charity has supported the design of a re-engagement hub for young adults, partnered with stakeholders to advance opportunity youth strategies, and contributed to workforce development initiatives at both local and national levels. She has also played an integral role in national research efforts, contributing to reports that provide an equity-focused framework for opportunity youth programming and inclusive approaches to workforce hiring. Her work emphasizes system-level thinking and the creation of scalable solutions that improve access to education and employment.
In addition to her workforce leadership, Charity has a strong background in higher education program management. She has developed and overseen programs focused on student engagement and mentoring, working directly with young people and community partners to strengthen student leadership and community impact. Through this work, she gained a deeper understanding of how aligning workforce and education systems is essential to supporting long-term student success.
With expertise in program design, stakeholder engagement, and cross-sector collaboration, Charity brings a focus on youth development and workforce initiatives that bridge education and employment systems. She holds a B.A. in Psychology and an M.Ed. in Higher Education from the University of Arkansas.
