Professional Bio

Dennis presently serves as the Chief Customer Officer for the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development in Nashville.
In this role, he focuses on outreach and advocacy efforts statewide and leads tourism related economic development special projects.
Dennis is a native of Rhea County where he has also served in several local government elected & appointed roles.
As Rhea County’s Economic Development Director, he led the recruitment of Nokian Tires, which selected Rhea County in 2017 as the location for their first North American facility. The project has invested over $575M so far and has created over 550 jobs since opening in 2019. His regional approach to recruitment proved to be the winning strategy.
Prior to his public service roles, Dennis had a very successful 17-year career at Coca-Cola where he managed several national accounts and Prestige Properties, including Walmart corporation, Dollywood and The University of Tennessee. He was also very active in developing customer programs that helped Coca-Cola, and his key accounts achieve their Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability goals.
He is a U.T. Chattanooga graduate with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
