Jennifer Thacker is Southeast Tennessee’s Business & Workforce Director for the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development. Jennifer serves on the Southeast Tennessee Local Workforce Development Board and helps drive the TN Dept. of Labor initiatives in the Southeast Region, as well as helps facilitate regional initiatives.
Jennifer has over 15 years of experience in Workforce Development, specifically in higher education, training, and leading workforce boards through complicated projects and complex environments. Her background includes but is not limited to crafting and executing strategic plans, developing and cultivating partnerships, and providing leadership at an executive level to strategic advisory councils and departments related to education and community impact.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from East Tennessee State University, a Master of Education from Milligan College, and a Ph.D. in Education: Cultural Studies from the University of Tennessee.
